[Landscape] Star trail & Lightning

I like the night sky. More so when the stars are clear to see and lightning spark up in the distance. Here are some of results shooting from my balcony into the night sky.

A simple stars trail. I took this in continuous 30s exposures and combined them.


Lightning flashed behind clouds.


The clouds illuminated by lightning, creating a scene of layered lighting in the dark of the night.


A bolt of lightning branched off as it jumped from cloud to cloud.

Wedding – Kenny & Chen Ning

It was the wedding day of my friend Chen Ning, and her soul mate Kenny on 30th January. Congratulations to both of them!

19. One of the games involved the guys (groom included) experiencing the pain of hair removal by sticking paper – it seems our benign Chen Ning wanted her husband to know how woman feel too…


20. Kenny and Christopher Choong of JAC Photography. Chris suffered a 2nd degree burn on his right hand later that day due to careless opening of boiling hot car radiator. It put him out of action for some time, I can only wish for his speedy recovery.

CNY Decorations at Pavilion KL

Birds and Bamboo

It is nice to sit and relax in the morning, with cool breeze and birds singing nearby. Ah, there are always some five small birds (are they sparrow? Who can identify it?) meeting among my house’s bamboo branches and chipping away.
While I could continue enjoy the singing, I would enjoy it more by taking photos instead!



In heated arguments… Don’t butt in while I sing!




See the birds in discussions? No? This thick bamboo is what I have to shoot through to get the birds’ photos. With so many layers of leaves for obstruction my camera’s autofocus was struggling to lock onto the birds. Now have you spotted the birds yet?
