A week ago I went to Krabi again with a group of friends. While the Krabi town and Ao Nang beach front is largely the same as last time I was there, the islands we went were different this time. It is also currently low season over there, so there’s not as many tourists around.
My approach to photographing the group of friends was also different – most of the portraits were shot with off camera flash. The results are satisfying, now they look more natural.
A quick shot before boarding the plane.
Two towel elephants welcoming guests to the hotel room.
They call this Paradise Island.
Hong Island.
A tussle of dog and owner – the dog was just playful.
A sky of startrails. This is a composite of some 96 frames taken over a period of 50 minutes to prevent destructively excessive light pollution.
Relaxing in hot spring waterfall.
Light yourself, Joe McNally style.
Three monks climbing the 1237 step stairway up a mountain.
