This year’s Bon Odori, held in Shah Alam, have some improvements over the past…
1. Traffic control has been improved.
2. The food stall field has been replanted with grass, so no more dust to eat.
3. I take better photos than last years. Haha.
Enjoy.

C2AGE @Tropicana City
C2AGE is a cosplay event held in Tropicana City shopping complex in Petaling Jaya, where you’ll find Japanese and anime related cosplaying, merchandises and on stage singing. But it’s mostly about conspaying.
That being said, I didn’t find much interests that day to hunt down every cosplayer for their photos. So it’s just this Chii as shown.
Byakuya and Zero settling their duel by chess…
Some of the figurines on display.

[Portrait] Coffee at IOI Boulevard
I met up with some high school classmates last Friday in Puchong for dinner, after which we parted ways and I was left with Mei Shan and Wan Lyn. Since there’s still some time we went to the IOI Boulevard for some coffee. To be more precise, I wanted to go there to shoot some portraits of them – the architecture and lighting of the place caught my eyes.
Wowed by the book’s content? We were walking around the area before settling down in a coffee shop, inside which we found a shelve stacked by all kinds of books. So we took some to use as props. I simply put the flash in between the book and her. The rounded shadow in front is caused by residue light from on-camera trigger flash.
This time we used Mei Shan’s laptop…

[Portrait] Pii Ven
It the time when many friends studying overseas are coming back for summer holidays, and Pii Ven just so happens to be visiting KL at this time – which also presents me an opportunity to shoot against the backdrop of the city.
The flash is placed above camera at right, with dome diffuser and gobo’ed to prevent reflection due to spilling on the glass. While the underexposure of the cityscape is intentional, the lighting on her feels a bit harsh.
